All materials (except Videocassettes) can be renewed twice, unless the items have reserves on them. All items (except videocassettes) may be renewed over the phone.
Holds may be placed on any item that the library owns but which is not currently on the shelves. Holds may be placed either in person or over the phone. There is no limit to the amount of holds that may be placed at one time
GENERAL RULES
To obtain a Seymour card, you must present proof of residency. If under 16 years of age, application must be signed by a parent or guardian. Non-resident borrowers must show identification and a valid library card from their respective town library.
Patrons should notify the library of any change of address
If a library card is lost, a fee of $1.00 will cover the cost of replacement.
Any book/non-book item in our collection may be reserved (except videos). if we do not have the item in our collection we will gladly request an Interlibrary Loan.
All loans, except videos can be renewed by phone or in person, twice, if there are no holds on the items.
Library fines: .05/day for adult and children's books. >10/day for new books, records, CD's, magazines, books on tape and audiocassettes. $.1.00/day for videos, with a maximum $5.00 fine.
You are responsible for all items checked out on your card. Library staff may not give out any information about your borrowing record to anyone other than you. Library users' borrowing records are confidential and excluded from the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act.
Before going to another public library to borrow materials remember to check the expiration date on your hometown library card.

riends Officers are: Diana Koskelowski - President - Irene Jecusco - Vice President - Diane Sosnovich - Treasurer and Betsy Primavera - Secretary.The organization and its slate of officers meet at the library on a regular basis to plan and organize fund-raising activities and yearly events. For more information about membership or cooperation, contact the library at 888-3903.
Donations
The library will occasionally accept books and other materials as donations or gifts from the public. The library cannot, however, appraise said gifts or donations for tax purposes. Depending on the nature and condition, materials worthwhile and of informational or recreational value, will be kept for incorporation into the library's collection. Items which cannot be used will be sold or permanently withdrawn. Please call before bringing your used books to the library as our storage space is limited.
COMPUTERS FOR PUBLIC USE
The Library currently offers Internet Access and word processing. Please see staff for current policies and registration assistance. There is a .10 fee per printed page.
MEETING ROOMS
There are 2 meeting rooms available to civic and non-profit organizations. The large meeting room holds 90 people and the smaller meeting room holds 45. Applications are available at the library and are processed on a first come, first serve basis.
